Aqua Tips by Dazzlette

Dazzlette Nails

Be pampered like a princess
Its my third time to Dazzlette already and just like each time, I end up being more amazed and dazzled by my nails when I leave the shop!

I'm sure ALL of us have seen the quicksand glitter or fishtanks phone case or even own one before because it is just so popular recently!

But I'm very sure not many of you have seen it on nails before, not in Singapore at least.

When Dazzlette first posted an instavideo on Aquatips, I was intrigued and knew that it was going to be my next nail design because it is just so unique!

I didn't know what colour I wanted this time because I thought that aquatips were only suitable for blue-y beach themes. However, Koji knew that I was joining HCR's ambassador contest the next day and my outfit was going to be a pink summer dress, she designed this sweet looking and classy set for me!

Who says that you glitter quicksand designs are only limited to phone cases? I can have them in my nails too!๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿป Got my nails extended by @dazzlette_nails right after my piano concert and I'm loving them๐Ÿ˜ #dazzlettenails #aquatipsbydazzlette

I'm really glad to be one of the first few in Singapore to try out the aquatips!
I'm quite sure aquatips will be a big hit because there are more and more nail salons are following the trend too!

Other than the aqua tip designs, Koji did flower and shell inlays on my index and ring finger respectively!
Looking elegant and classy
I must admit that this set of nails has got the most attention from my friends and they were all amazed by the moving glitters:)

I'm not even kidding when I said that it matches my dress. Thumbs up to Koji's skills because all I told her about my dress was that it was going to be pink and checkered.

You can be one of the first few in SG to own your very own set of aquatips too!

Mitzo: After Spring Awakening

Found this post in my drafts list and I thought I should blog about it since its my first experience going to a supper club!

Here's my introduction to the event if you haven't read about it: http://christinenglt.blogspot.sg/2015/04/WSAwakening.html

We reached at about 10+ after another event earlier that evening!

There was quite a long queue at the entrance and the first thing that came to my mind was that I felt rather underdressed because everyone looked absolutely gorgeous and handsome that night!

After going in, there were free champagnes given and also waiters/waitresses going around giving out dimsum!

Was really looking forward to eating them because I love dimsum!!

Okay, this paus are the only dimsum photos I took because the lighting didn't do the food any justice and it was too troublesome to shine my phone's flashlight on the food all the time.

They have delicious praline too!

Mango Pomelo dessert
Other than good food, they also have latin dance performance, which was great to liven up the atmosphere.

Other than the dance performance, the rest of the night was rather boring and the crowd died down super quickly. The place was quite empty after 12am, which I don't think was the way it was supposed to be.

They have rather cute waiters who posed for us too :)

I think the idea of combining supper and club concept was rather novel and not readily accepted yet, because these two ideas are rather contradicting. Hence, I assume that was why the crowd died down super quickly.

With Ken and Jon!
Kaiting, Tricia, Sochii & Jon!
My brows looked super thick that day as it was only a day after I did my 6D eyebrow embroidery!
Candy & KaiTing!
I guess overall, I had a good catching up session with everyone and also filled my belly with good food!:)
Its the company that matters after all

Thanks Kaiting for not drinking that day to send us home! :)

100 Secret Gadget Doraemon Expo Fair

This post is probably way too overdued but I took many photos during my visit to City Square's 100 Secret Gadget Doraemon Expo fair and I feel like sharing them with you guys!

So on 4th January this year, Clarence, Jodan and I headed to City Square as it was the last day of the fair and I really wanted to see the doraemons!
Was a rather big fan of doraemon since young and I remember trying to catch the show every sat on ไนไน็ช and I will feel super sad if I woke up late and miss the show.

So there we were, at the expo fair.

The tickets were priced at RM25 for adults, and the main attraction of the fair was of course, Doraemons!

Each of the 100 doraemons inside the fair had a different gadget for us to pose with.

Idk about you but I'm glad to pose beside a doraemon because my face looks less round than it HAHAH.

step candid!
ok la actually I also

Tried to copy the doraemon's pose but kinda did it the opposite side...
I guess I thought that I could flip the photo when this photo was taken but kinda forgot that if I flipped it, the doraemon will flip with me too....

Well, Jodan and I succeeded in copying a doraemon's pose but idk which doraemon Clarence was copying... Or maybe he was just tryna promote his iPhone.
aw we all look cute HAHH
When Doraemon was created, it was actually yellow with ears. However, his ears were bitten off by a robot mouse. Hence, he developed a fear of mouse-musophobia  (Ikr there is a name for fear of mice)

After getting his ears bitten off, doraemon was so sad and tried to drink a cheer up potion!
However, he drank the 'sadness' potion by accident instead. This further deepened his depression and even caused him to cry so much that as he cried, his yellow paint fade off with him. Also, his voice deepened from all the crying!
Ft a cute girl trying to cheer doraemon up!
Trying to look sad :'(
Sad people don't look good so let's be happy and not waste our days being sad

Many people were queuing to take photo at this blue area which made me want to take photo here too. But the lighting was so disappointing:(

I mean, just look at my face.. It can't even be seen.

I think we got judged quite badly when we asked the staff to help us take this photo. But ohwell we had fun.

And I must mention, their staff are mostly quite unfriendly sigh!

Well, everyday is valentine's if you have cupid arrows...
wapiang this two natural poser
sorry I stiff poser but aww at this photo HAHHAHA
I wasn't ready guys..
YAY for ็ซน่œป่œ“!
under my umbrella, ella, ella......(??)  LOL

Lets pray and wish for eternal peace, happiness, blissfulness, stomach fullness, liveliness and all the ness....................
We are such attentive students in class
except for..

Even though this trip was more than half a year ago, I must say that I can still remember the fun we had and I will definitely go again if there's another fair like this!

Well, I thought this photo below was suitable for what I wanted to say:

Thanks for reading!! Here's Clarence sending everyone a flying kiss on my behalf HAHHA.

Review: Pink Parlour

One thing about me is that I absolutely HATE ingrown hairs!!!

Recently, I've been wearing long sleeved tops/ wearing lesser sleeveless as I have ingrown hair on my underarm area. It took me four months to remove the unsightly black spot, only to get me a red spot, from the constant scratching and peeling of the skin in desperation to remove the ingrown hair.

And now I only can put lotion on that area and wait maybe two more months for the red spot to disappear. And I feel that the ugly spots might cause others to mis-think that I never remove my underarm hair sobs  :(

Hence, to be honest, even though I stated how excited I was to be able to remove my leg hair for the first time in my life  in my previous blogpost, I still had some hesitation as I read reviews online saying that waxing might cause ingrown hairs if not done properly.

On Pink Parlour's Hair Free day on 29 May, I headed down to its NUH's branch to try their service out!

I love the black, pink and purple themed decoration of the shop!! Totally chic!!

I feel like I'm in some sort of hollywood movie when I'm there hehe:)

With Krystal and the shop's male model!
With another male model
After exploring the shop, Krystal and I were ready for our hair removal session!

Kinda excited :)
Feeling quite safe for my treatment because the professional therapists always wear new disposable face masks and gloves. They also use pre-treatment formulations, such as pre-wax skin cleanser, hospital grade sanitizer that removes 99.99% germs and viruses and sanitizer for optimum sanitation before every treatment.
Applying wax
Sticking on waxing strips
Tada!! Can you spot the difference?

Left leg: unwaxed
Right leg: Waxed

The right leg appeared brighter than the left leg, and after waxing, my skin also felt smoother. Before waxing, I couldn't understand why my friend's always ask me to feel their legs after they shave/wax. But now I'm finally in the 'feel my legs' club HAHAHA. I remember that I kept asking my friends to feel my legs that day cause my legs felt so smooth and I didn't want it to be wasted:p

Starting on my right leg
Enjoying my back leg hair removing session:)

You must be wondering why there are two types of wax right? The blue wax is for larger areas like legs, arms, back etc. The pink wax is for the more delicate areas like Brazilian and underarms!

For the pink waxPink Parlour was the first in Southeast Asia to introduce strict waxing guidelines with “no double dipping rule” and ”no reusing of spatulas” since early 2006, setting optimum hygiene and sanitation standards in the grooming world.

This practice eliminates any possible contamination in the wax pots. Waxes are heated to its maximum temperature at least once a day eliminating any possibility of residual bacteria.

All equipment are highly sterilised and packed individually, then stored inside cabinet and only opened right in front of the customer so you can always be assured that the tools use are 100% safe and clean!

My thoughts and review: It's been a month plus since my treatment, and my leg hairs have already grown out, but much lesser in quantity and they appear less coarse (Despite the myth stating that waxing cause your hair to grown back thicker and coarser).

As for ingrown hairs, I proud to say that I only found 3 ingrown hair on my right knee, which were easily removed with a body scrub :)

Pain level: 1/10, you must have thought that removing so much hair from the roots at once would cause the pain level to be super high but nope, it didn't feel painful!

After this treatment, I'm really excited to try out their awarded and fame brazillian waxing the next time I visit as Pink Parlour has been widely known as the first ever to offer almost painless Brazilian wax in 15 minutes!

In its 10 years of existence, Pink Parlour has won several awards in the beauty and grooming industry and has mastered the art and science of painless hair removal.

Get smooth with Pink Parlour!
