The ‘After 10 Supperclub event’ is scheduled every last weekend of the month with appearances from the resident and guest DJs, a live band, free-flow gourmet Cantonese morsels and special tipples of the month. Starting from 1 May and as part of the After 10 series, Mitzo will run the ‘After 10 Ultra Lounge’ every Friday and Saturday from 10.30pm till 3am with Resident DJ Anthony. Guests can expect special beverage packages and breathtaking prices for champagnes, cocktails, craft beers, wines and more to begin their weekend revelry. 

At only $50++ per person, guests can party into a new season’s beginning with a welcome Veuve Clicquot rośe champagne, a supper night-out with free flow gourmet Cantonese morsels until 2.30am and live music until 4am.

Resident DJ Anthony and Guest DJ Giusseppe G will be spinning Nu Disco, Neo Soul and Deep House Selections. Originally from U.K., Resident DJ Anthony has been playing House, Techno and Nudisco for nearly 20 years in the UK, Australia, Dubai, Hong Kong and now Singapore, while Guest DJ Giusseppe G had held several high-profile gigs to his name creating sexy, melodic, deep, tech house mixes.

Blessed 18th

Never expected so many surprises for my birthday this year but I'm really thankful for those who made an effort for it to happen.

To be honest, I wasn't looking forward to it because everybody seemed to have forgotten about me and I wasn't asked out by most of my friends except for Wenyi <3

So on the 27th, I went out for dinner with my princesses!! I seriously thought they forgot about me.
The reason why I thought so was because at first I could not make it for the dinner due to some school event and the nobody responded in the group chat anymore sobs.
Until my school event got cancelled and I say I can go to dinner with them then the group chat revived LOL.

So at dinner, nothing was mentioned about birthday at all.. until after dinner, Angeline received a phone call and HAHAHAH the surprise was spilled and she didn't even realise. Still the same as last time, super innocent.

YAY love how everything is still the same! 

So, they told me to pretend to not know anything, while they proceeded with their plan whereby two went to buy me my birthday cake and the other two brought me to the bank as a form of distraction!

Really appreciated the dinner even though we don't meet as often as before now!
I'm really thankful for that evening because I know all of you all are really busy and had CCAs prior to the dinner, and having to go somewhere else afterwards!

As for the next day, Krystal came over to my house after lunch to surprise me!

Happy because that was the first rainbow cake of my life!!

Afterwards, we headed to causeway point to meet with Wenyi!

No idea how WenYi did it without us realising, but she actually managed to creep up behind us and surprise me with a huge ass balloon!! :*

So, we walked around CWP and sat under the escalator to have llaollao to kill time as I had to collect my birthday cake at 6pm!


After eating, Wenyi told me that she wanted to meet her friend! To be honest, I was a little annoyed cause the friend made us go up all the way to the sixth storey and I hate hate hate walking for no reason :p

And I was like, "walao your friend very qiguai" while we were taking the lift because who evers goes to the sixth storey LOL.


And when we exit the lift, she was like "But that friend is your friend too!"

And Kwan Wei came out with a pizza and 5 pretty balloons :*

11 years of friendship and counting with these girls! 

They say that friendships that are longer than 7 years will last a lifetime and I feel that its gonna be true! 

Even though we don't meet each other often, we always seem to have never ending topics to update each other when we meet <3

We continued with our shopping to kill more time and all the time my hair started flying due to the balloon's static!

Since Latex balloons only last for about a day, we decided to play with the helium after taking some photos!

Since fun times pass quickly, it was soon 6pm and I could go to the cake shop to collect my fav birthday cake!

And by saying its my favourite, I'm not even kidding. I've been having the same cake for more than 3 years alr and still bugging my mum to let me buy the same one this year even though she didn't really liked the idea of it initially.

After the cake collection, I headed home with Wenyi and Kw! 

And guess what happened the first thing I entered the house?!!

My pretty plastic balloon (that prob have a shelf life of 2 months) was caught by the room's ceiling fan and BOOM!

I sure was miserable

Afterwards, my dad brought my family out for a dinner tgt as a small celebration!

Sadly, I forgot to take photos with them CRIES T.T

Then, I headed to Yishun to meet these lovely bunch of people who wanted to celebrate my special day with me <3

They were super enthu and sang 4 birthday songs for me! It was the first time I heard a birthday song in cantonese and a language that is not english or chinese :'))))))))

After the celebration, I met with Krystal and we headed to F club for my first legal party :p

Then on the day where the course had dry run for induction day, Doreen and Mieko told me to go to school 30 minutes earlier!

I was told to meet at 11 square but HAHAA I saw both of them at the train station LOLOL.

And yeap, I had to pretend not to know about the surprise again!!

I guess that's about all for my birthday celebrations this year!

Yudi also made me very touched because she came down to Cine to support me for CNOS4 Challenge 2 and passed me these pretty earring as my belated birthday present!!




No words can express how much gratitude to everyone who wished me and made the effort to make me happy on my 18th!

I thought that by blogging about this, I would remember you guys forever!
Thanks for not making me fear about birthdays because I haven't been enjoying birthdays since I was 15.

Does first impression count?

Another #throwback post

I was in the shower when I suddenly felt the strong urge to write this post. The saying about reflecting hard on life during showers are so true heh.

Also it was because I had to shampoo my hair four times only to remove about half of the black hair spray it had inside.

Yeap, I sprayed my hair black just for work.

On my first day of work, the manager screamed at me and said: "Eh girl, you are coming to work, not going clubbing. Unless you can prove to me that you are Caucasian, I want your hair to be black." 

I swear at that moment I wanted to pick up my bag and leave because I do not deserve such rude treatment.

But life is life and I had to suck it up because if I left, $30 would be deducted from my pay.

So I sprayed my hair black using some kind soul's spray.

At the second day of work, he approached me again and told me a long story about being professional. I thought he was kind and was quite appreciative of his advice.

However, after I ended work, he started being mean again and told me that he never want to see me again if I came without black hair next time. And said stuff like the company would not have any difference whether I came in future or not.

I agreed that it is true since I'm just a part timer.

However, his strong words did have some impact on me.

To recall back, I was never on my teacher's good books in secondary schools and I always seemed to be called on every morning during assembly about my hair/skirt etc.

I guess I can't blame others for thinking wrongly of me but sometimes it gets tiring.

Another incident that hit me hard was when one of my teachers told me that I never got an 'excellent' conduct grade during my school years was because of my grooming.

She even told me she tried to fight for an excellent grade for me but was shot down by other teachers because of my grooming.

I swear her words hurt.

Is first impression really that important? 


Sorry if this sounds just like a ranting post but I'm really very curious how this first impression thing works.

Infused some CNY photos into this post so it wouldn't be that wordy and boring.

On the 1st day of CNY, I was bugging my mum to go downstairs to take some outfit shots with me when I saw my aunt at the lift area. She heard that I wanted to take some outfit shots and she got quite enthu about it and wanted to come along.

Initially, I was quite doubtful of it but oh boy, she is damn professional!

She went back to her home(Opposite block) and brought her DSLR and kindly saved my reluctant mother from the job.

In case you are wondering, the ice cream was a bribe from me to ask her to go to the nearby park to take some shots with me LOL.

She is a very good poser for photos and I felt kinda ashamed beside her because my poses are so stiff and awkward HAHAHA. 

Back to the first impression issue, I've always asked people about their first impression of me after knowing them for a while.

Most of the answers I got are:

"I thought you were hard to approach but I guess you are quite alright after talking to you"

"I thought you were quite bitchy sia but guess you're not that bad"

Sometimes hearing these made me feel better.

I'm still trying hard not to be too mindful of other's comments because its really exhausting to be so mindful of what others think.

"Those who mind won't matter and those who matter don't mind. You can be a juicy, ripe peach and there's still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches."

This has got to be my favourite quote and something I'm trying to learn.
