LA VIDA Semi-Permanent Deluxe Creative Brows

Having a tight and hectic schedule in school makes me treasure all the time I have to sleep in in the morning and spending 10 minutes every morning to draw a pair of symmetrical, defined brows is definitely not what I want to sacrifice my sleep time for.

My embroidery process

This is actually my third eyebrow embroidery and my last one was done two years ago elsewhere. The previous embroidery has faded quite a bit so I had to start filling my brows recently already! 

The whole procedure process took about 1.5 hours and included the following steps:

Application of numbing cream:

This process took about 20 minutes so that we wouldn't feel anything when the actual embroidery was carried out!

Drawing of brow design: 
This process took the longest for the entire procedure because we had to make sure that the brows look the best before proceeding! My highly experienced brow stylist was patient in hearing my requests and gave me several suggestions so that my eyebrows look more natural after the embroidery! For me personally, I really appreciated this because I’ve had friends who are afraid to go for eyebrow embroideries because they were afraid of the downtime! 

Of course, everyone has a different face shape so different brows would suit different individual and there is no “one size fit all” kind of brows! Hence, a highly experienced brow specialist is really important when it comes to choosing your ‘new’ brows!

After about 20-30 minutes of drawing, I was ready to go!

The actual procedure:
The actual process involved making small incisions along the drawn design with a micro blade to mimic existing eyebrow hairs. Each incision was combined with unique strokes to give the best combination so that the results would look three-dimensional and most importantly, natural. 

For myself, because I’ve done other eyebrow embroidery before, my brow specialist had to fill in some parts of my brows with another equipment so that my new brows will blend in and cover the previous colors up! 

I knew I was in safe hands because LA VIDA^TM promises to use industry-leading natural pigments and I felt that this was really important because the pigment goes under your skin and I wanted to really make sure that it was of a high quality!

The pain level? How long can this last?
For this procedure, I felt zero pain throughout! By throughout, I was pleasantly surprised that I did not feel anything at all even hours after the numbing cream effect has worn off! It was so comfortable and I felt really at ease. I’ve had embroideries whereby I felt intense pain after the numbing cream wore off but LA VIDA^TM really surprised me with this and I was so happy about it! 

After this 1.5 hours of Deluxe Creative Brows, I am happy to say that I do not need to draw my brows for the next 1.5 years already! If taken care of properly, it can last up to 2 years! Yes, 2 whole years of natural looking brows without the hassle of drawing them!! This photo with my brow specialist was taken right after the embroidery and no edits was done on the eyebrows! I loved how natural my brows looked and I can proceed on with my daily activities without any downtime!

People always tell me that you need to stay at home one to two weeks after embroideries because you will look like Shin Chan but after experiencing LA VIDA^TM ‘s Deluxe Creative Brow, I can confidently tell you that this is not the case!

A Better Florist

Whenever there are celebratory events, flowers are always one of the first few items that comes to my mind as it's a delightful gift for a dear one.

Sen'se De Belle Freeze Sculpting

People around me know me for always complaining about my trouble area, which is to have inches around my stomach. It has been a problem that has been troubling me since forever.

Even though I do not look like I am overweight nor am I troubled with size issues, I am still very self-conscious about how I look. I'll always look for high waisted> low waisted outfits, especially when I'm shopping for bikinis.

Just last week, I was invited again by Sen'se De Belle to their Far East Plaza outlet. This time, for a different purpose - slimming treatment. [P.s: Do read about my post on their facial if you haven't done so].

When I received the invite, I was really excited as I was very pleased with my previous facial from them such that every time my friends ask me to recommend facials to them, I'm sure they always hear Sen'se De Belle from me.

When I arrived at the center, I was given two options for the slimming treatment. TriLipo treatment or FreezeSculpting. I've previously heard and researched about FreezeSculpting and was contemplating on going for this procedure and hence, it was an easy choice for me to choose FreezeSculpting for that day.

FreezeSculpting is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment that produces permanent results. It works by vacuuming the fatty tissue up and using a cool temperature to freeze our fat cells, which completely destroys them. It is for targeted areas and is commonly called the "Inch-reducer" instead of the "Weight-reducer". This treatment is for our stubborn pinch-able fats which are unable to be eliminated by diet or exercise.

The effects of FreezeSculpting would be permanent as it targets the fat cells directly instead of the fats. A normal adult would have fixed number of fat cells as the number is more of less fixed during childhood. Yet, our size changes accordingly to the amount of fats stored in these fat cells. Hence, by destroying the fat cells through FreezeSculpting, the amount of fats that can be stored would be lesser and eventually lead to the reduction of thickness of subcutaneous fats.

Since the effects sounded too good to be true, I'm pretty sure there are certain questions which you guys would have for this treatment. Well, at least for me, I had quite a lot of questions before I proceeded with the treatment. Here are some of the common FAQs:


1. Would the cooling process destroy our normal body cells?
No, body cells are water based and hence, they freeze at a much lower temperature than fat cells. The cooling is done in a way that the temperature is below the freezing point of fats but higher than the freezing point of our other body cells. This way, only fat cells will be destroyed during the treatment and hence it is safe.
Also, for additional precaution, there would be a membrane between your skin and the machine to prevent frostbite.

2. What are the side effects of FreezeSculpting?
Currently, there are no side effects of FreezeSculpting as it is considered a very safe treatment. The only ones I could think of would be redness and slight bruising for a few days after the treatment.
Rest assured that the treatment only targets the pinch-able fats and will not go deep enough to affect your muscles/organs etcetera.

3. How long will it take before the treatment result shows/ How many sessions do I have to do before the result shows?
The treatment will take about 2 weeks to 2 months before the results would show and it really depends on how fast your body takes to excrete the dead fat cells. As for the number of sessions, it would depend on how thick the area you're working on is.

4. Is there any pain during the treatment/ Any downtime?
The treatment was completely painless but I did feel a little tight around the treatment area (Duh). Throughout the treatment, I was completely relaxed and could continue with using my phone. There were no downtime except for slight redness around my treatment area. After the treatment, I could walk around to shop and continue with my normal activities.

5. Is the treatment suitable for everyone?
Sadly, it is not suitable for everyone as it targets stubborn pinch-able fats only. For people who do not have enough pinch-able fats, you're unable to proceed with the treatment. As for people who are obese, other treatment methods would be used by Sen'se De Belle instead of FreezeSculpting. But, there is no need to worry because the folks there will only recommend what's best for you.



Enough said of all the treatment facts, Here's my experience of the treatment:

After the treatment (1 hour), there would be a funny "lump" of fats bulging out, which would be massaged away by the therapist and you're done!

The treatment area was cold to touch after the 1 hour but all was comfortable and my slight bruising only lasted for 2 days.

Currently, it has been about a week and I've lost 0.5" around at this area. I'm looking forward to more inch-loss and will update you guys again!

JJ Hair Identity

It’s been more than a year since i've dyed my hair black and cut it short as it was rather damaged previously and i could not have vibrantly colored hair due to work purposes.

Hence, this time, while i visited J&J Hair Identity, a Katong hair salon, i requested for a subtle hair color that was suitable for me as well as presentable on the professional front.

ECOCERT demands a requirement level that is superior to conventional regulations governing cosmetics, by which to irrefutably guarantee genuine environmentally friendly methods during production, while also promoting the use of natural substances exceeding superior ecological quality. 

However, when i first heard of organic hair dyes, the impression i received would be that the colors would be just dark shades of brown to black.

Upon visiting J&J Hair Identity, i found out that this was not true, bright stunning colors could be done too!

Going back to my hair, Jac did an original mix of colors and did Natulique Floral series for me!

He chose a brown hair base for me, with purple highlights underneath and self-created purplish-blonde highlights on the crown.

Beauty Hope

Was rather skeptical about receiving another facial treatment sponsorship due to my skin peel the previous round and hence, I waited quite a while before I accepted this sponsorship! 

But man I did not regret it!

It was my second week of intern when I headed for the treatment. At that point of time, the only issue with my skin was that I found it slightly dull and hence, for this session, I chose to have Power source face lightening treatment with Beauty Hope.

Beauty Hope gave me a homely feel and the furnishings felt warming to the heart along with a tinge of sweetness.

Having achieved so many awards for the past few years, I was confident that I'll walk out of Beauty Hope feeling satisfied and prettier hehe.

So let the facial begin!

First thing, we started with skin consultation to know if I'm suitable for the skin treatment as it involves laser. Skin that received chemical peel in the past month are strongly advised not to go ahead with the treatment as it will be too sensitive for the treatment.

The consultant also advised me the skin routines I should take after the treatment which involves not applying any product containing AHA acids such as lactic and glycolic acid after the treatment. 

Also, I was advised against products with Vit C content as it might cause discoloration of the skin.

And let the treatment begin!

Ofc, before any treatment, the skin had to be cleanse!

So this is how my skin looks like after cleansing, without any make up or filter!

Next, a peeling product was applied to my skin to remove dead skin and comedones.

As I still have slightly clogged pores with blackheads, I was advised to undergo extraction.

And here comes the star of the treatment.... The Power Source Face Lightening machine!!

A gel was applied to the face to protect the skin and facilitate the treatment.

Well, I can say that the laser was totally painless because I ACUALLY FELL ASLEEP.

and urm.. my photos during the laser were all very unglam and this photo below is actually the most glam because my mouth wasn't open that big LOL.
I felt so embarrassed when I saw the photos omg.

After the laser,  the skin is rather delicate and Beauty Hope gave me a hydrating treatment so that the skin will be well protected and hydrated!

Another product was applied!

The hydrating machine had an ultrasonic metal head and the cooling properties of the metal made my skin felt very soothed. This process is really the best part of the treatment *.*

Then we had a quick massage..

And lastly, a mask was applied to end off this wonderful treatment!

The mask was very moisturizing but I felt that it was a little too oily for me!

My skin remained good and soft for at least two weeks and hence, I'm happy to say that the treatment really worked and the softness after the facial was not just an effect of the products used! I find the after effects of facial to be most important because everyone can see your skin when you're outside, not when you're doing your facial!
